Depending on how you use our website, we may collect identification and contact details; billing and delivery details; order, return and customer-service records; account details; transaction and limited payment-related information; device, browser, IP address, security, cookie and usage data; communication and consent records; and marketing preferences.

Sources and purposes

We receive information directly from you, automatically from your device and website interactions, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, carriers, fraud-prevention providers, analytics providers and advertising providers. We use it to operate the website, process and deliver orders, take payment, handle returns, prevent fraud, secure the service, communicate with you, meet legal obligations, improve performance and, with the required consent, measure or personalise marketing.

Consent and other lawful authority

We seek meaningful consent where Canadian law requires it. The form of consent depends on the sensitivity of the information, reasonable expectations and the consequences of processing. Shopify supplies the commerce platform and may process information needed to host the website and support checkout. Authorised payment providers process payments; carriers and fulfilment providers handle delivery and returns; and technology, analytics, security and advertising providers perform their contracted services. Each provider receives only information reasonably needed for its role and may act under its own legal obligations and privacy terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary technologies used for the shopping cart, checkout, account access, fraud prevention and security may operate where permitted because the requested service cannot function properly without them. We seek valid opt-in consent before using non-essential analytics, advertising, personalisation or cross-site tracking technologies. Electronic marketing

Commercial electronic messages are sent only with the consent or other authority required by Canada’s anti-spam legislation. Marketing messages include an available unsubscribe method, and withdrawal requests are honoured as required by law.

Shopify and other providers may process information in Canada or other countries. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its authorities. We use contractual, organisational and technical measures appropriate to the information and provider, and remain accountable as required by applicable law.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and correction of inaccurate information. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, and may ask us to delete information that is no longer required where applicable law permits or requires deletion. Additional rights, including data portability or limits on certain automated processing, may apply under provincial law.

You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator. Contact us first if you wish to exercise a right; we may request information reasonably needed to verify identity and locate the relevant records.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. A material change will be communicated as required, and fresh consent will be requested where the law requires it.
